4-H is a community where members learn through completing hands-on projects in areas of health, science, agriculture and citizenship. During these projects, they are guided and encouraged by adult mentors. For more information about 4-H, please visit http://monmouth.njaes.rutgers.edu/ or call 732-431-7260, ext. 7264.

Also coming up later this summer ... the Monmouth County Park System and Monmouth County 4-H also team up to present the annual Monmouth County Fair each summer. This year’s dates are Wednesday-Sunday, July 24-28. 4-H is a big part of the Monmouth County Fair as Monmouth works hard to retain its strong agricultural roots: There are lots of livestock animals to see at the fair, and huge tents devoted to farming fruits and vegetables and gardening.
