COLTS NECK/MARLBORO TOWNSHIPS, NJ — Here is info. on the fireworks happening locally this holiday in Colts Neck and Marlboro.

Colts Neck: The Colts Neck Business Association has yet again graciously offered to host an Independence Day celebration, complete with fireworks!, on Monday evening, July 3. The event will be held at Bucks Mill Community Park. The festivities begin at 6 p.m. and there will be music from the Colts Neck community band and Moon Dance band. There will also be a Great American Apple Pie contest, hot dogs, popcorn, cotton candy, ice cream and Delicious Orchards doughnuts, plus a presentation of the Color Guard from Naval Weapons Station Earle. Fireworks go off when the sun goes down.

Marlboro Township: Marlboro's Independence Day celebration comes a week after everybody else's. Marlboro's Concert of Independence will be held next Sunday, July 9 at the Marlboro Recreation Center. There will be a free concert featuring New Power Soul and FIREWORKS at dusk. Concert starts at 7 p.m. Come for dinner …. food concessions provided by Whole Foods with all proceeds donated to Marlboro Recreation.
