Colts Neck Setting Up Warming Stations In Event of Power Failure
Police Administration Offices will be closed today because of the storm but residents should dial 911 for help as officers are on the roads.

COLTS NECK, NJ - The National Weather Service has issued a blizzard warning for Monmouth County and forecasters are predicting snow accumulation of six to eight inches coupled with wind gusts of up to 50 miles per hour, authorities said.
Residents are encouraged to take the following precautions: Check and prepare your emergency supplies. Secure any outdoor furniture, trash cans or other items that may become airborne during high winds.
Remove all vehicles from roadways to facilitate snow removal and salting.
Should you experience a loss of power, contact JCP&L directly at 1-888-544-4877. And as always, if you need emergency assistance, dial 911. In the event outages occur, customers without power are encouraged to call 1-888-LIGHTSS (1-888-544-4877) to report the outage, or click the “report outage” link on www.firstenergycorp.com.

Should the township experience power outages, comfort stations will be available for residents experiencing extended power outages.
Travel may be hazardous. "We strongly urge all residents to stay home and off the roads for the duration of the storm," authorities said.
