Driver Killed By Falling Tree In Colts Neck
A Monmouth County woman was killed Saturday afternoon when a tree fell onto the car she was driving in Colts Neck, police said.

A Monmouth County woman was killed Saturday afternoon when a tree fell onto the car she was driving in Colts Neck, police said.
Stacey Weathers, 46, of Tinton Falls, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident at 4:41p.m. Saturday, according to Colts Neck Police Chief Kevin Sauter.
Weathers was the lone occupant of a Mustang convertible Saturday afternoon.

Around 4:25 p.m., as she drove southbound on Route 34, a tree fell from the northbound side of the road onto the car, Sauter said.
The investigation is being handled by the Colts Neck Township Police Department’s traffic officer, along with responding officers Sgt. Mayer and Officers Campan and Capriotti.

The Holmdel Police Department, Colts Neck Fire Department, Colts Neck First Aid, and MONOC also assisted.
Route 34 was shut down between Clover Hill Road and Highfield Lane from 4:25 p.m. to about 8:45 p.m.
