First Responders At Conover Road Fire In Colts Neck

COLTS NECK, NJ - Police and firefighters are at the scene of a working house fire on Conover Road near

Fulling Mill Lane, according to a Facebook announcement on the agency page for Monmouth County Police and Fire.

The blaze is described as a working structure fire and a second alarm has been requested. The Colts Neck Fire Company No. 2 - located down the road from the fire - was summoned to help put out the flames.

Police did not immediately have information about the fire but the call came in around noon, Lt. Art Raskin of the Colts Neck Fire Police Association told the Asbury Park Press. Workers blocked off one end of Conover Road shortly after the call came in. Colts Neck, Middletown and Marlboro fire companies also responded.

Police are asking people to avoid the area.
