Colts Neck Men Nabbed On Weed Charge With Intent to Distribute

A month long investigation by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Strike Force and the United States Postal Inspector’s Office culminated Monday with the seizure of approximately 20 pounds of marijuana and the arrests of four Colts Neck men, announced Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni.

Blake Lombardi, 22; Robert Lombardi, 60; Ronnie Rehim, 21 and [Name Withheld], 21, all of Colts Neck, are each charged with second degree Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance with the Intent to Distribute Marijuana in excess of five pounds, second degree Conspiracy to Possess Marijuana with Intent to Distribute and fourth degree Possession of Marijuana over 50 Grams. Blake Lombardi was released after posting $50,000 bail, as set by Colts Neck Municipal Court Judge Richard B. Thompson, J.M.C. Robert Lombardi, Ronnie Rehim and Jason Lepicolo were released on their own recognizance.

A joint investigation by detectives from the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office and members of the U.S. Postal Inspector’s Office, with assistance from the Colts Neck Police Department, uncovered a scheme involving packages suspected to contain marijuana addressed to a residence in Colts Neck and the subsequent search of the residence to which it was delivered. The investigation resulted in the seizure of approximately 20 pounds of marijuana, drug paraphernalia consistent with the distribution of marijuana, as well as quantities of U.S. currency and counterfeit U.S. currency.

The men each faces state prison terms of between five and ten years on each of the second degree charges. They also face a state prison sentence of up to 18 months on the fourth degree charge.

Despite these charges, every defendant is presumed innocent, unless and until found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, following a trial at which the defendant has all of the trial rights guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution and State law.
