Get A Free Doughnut Today On National Doughnut Day

The first Friday of June is designated National Doughnut Day.

Happy National Doughnut Day!

Today, the first Friday of June, in 1938 the Salvation Army established National Doughnut Day to raise money during the Great Depression and honor women volunteers who supported soldiers on the front lines during World War I.

About 250 women served soliders meals and, naturally, doughnuts, in France in 1917.
