Marlboro Fire Dept Frees Trapped Driver, 70, After Car Crash
The 70-year-old Morganville resident was pulled to safety after crashing a 2004 GMC into a tree near Crine Road, authorities said.
MARLBORO, NJ - A 70-year-old motorist was extradited from his vehicle by Robertsville Fire Department members on Tuesday after the driver collided with a tree, authorities said.
At around 5:22 p.m. on July 6, officers from the Marlboro Township Police Department responded to the area of Crine Road near Tennent Road for a report of a vehicle collision with a tree, Marlboro Police Capt. Steve Levy told Patch.
The vehicle, a 2004 GMC, was driven by a 70-year-old Morganville resident. The vehicle had struck a tree and the driver suffered a non-life threatening head injury. He was the only occupant in the car and was alert and conscious.

After police officers requested the assistance of the Marlboro Fire Department to help extricate the driver from the vehicle, members from the Robertsville Fire Department were able to pull the man to safety. He was transported to the hospital by members of the Marlboro First Aid Squad.
The crash is currently under investigation by Ptlm. Christopher VanCuren of the Marlboro Township Police Department, but alcohol or drugs are not suspected to be a factor, Levy said.

Crine Road was briefly shut between Station Road and Condor Drive.
