Marlboro Swim Club Accepting Pre-Season Memberships

Can you imagine a time warm enough for swimming. Marlboro Swim Club accepting pre-season memberships.

MALRBORO, NJ - Had enough of winter? Summer will be here before you know it.

Marlboro residents may join the township Swim Club at early bird rates through Jan. 13. Register at the Recreation Center between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. weekdays, at the Swim Club office, which has reduced winter hours so call 732-617-9600 before you go or sign up online 24 hours, seven days a week at marlboro-nj.gov/signup.

The club opens weekends May 26 and daily June 23. Marlboro also is seeking a lifeguard for its four-pool club complex that also includes waterslides, a snackbar and playgrounds.

The club will be open until 9 p.m. Wednesdays and Fridays during July and August. Also, during July and August, Friday evenings will feature Family Fun Night where the snack bar will be open late and a DJ will be performing. An inflatable ride will be available for children. Family Fun Night is 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Available programs include the Marlins Swim Team, open to members aged 6 to 18 who compete against other Monmouth County swim teams.

Swim lessons are available in group, individual and parent and toddlers classes and the swim club is available for parties. For a $35 setup fee, you get two tables and 20 chairs. Members attend free but others will be charged the normal guest fee. Party guests may use the pools, slides, playgrounds and pavilion but the parties must book in advance and dates are limited. Call the swim club or email swimclub@marlboro-nj.gov.

Membership rates are family, $409, individual, $212, individual and senior citizen $110. These rates are pre-season and expire Jan. 13. The prices increase and are effective until March 14 to $459, $232 and $120 and after March 14, they are $484, $253 and $128.
