MARLBORO, NJ — Marlboro Township moms and dads: Are you concerned your child might be vaping, or tempted to vape? Learn what you need to know about this alarming new trend at a public meeting on Feb. 27 at Town Hall sponsored by the Marlboro Alliance for the Prevention of Substance Abuse.
Recently, the use of electronic smoking devices among children and young adults has increased at an alarming rate. E-cigarette use among middle and high school students increased 900% during
2011-2015. According to the Surgeon General of the U.S., 1 in 5 high school and 1 in 20 middle school students are currently using e-cigarettes.
This workshop will provide parents/guardians with information about vaping and other e-products teens are using. Learn about current trends, risks involved and strategies for talking with your teen about this important issue. Working together, we can keep our youth safe from the dangers associated with these devices.
