Hominy Hill Dubbed Best in State for Walking
The Monmouth County-run golf course in Colts Neck earned three top rankings in a recent New Jersey Monthly article.

Hominy Hill of the Monmouth County Park System was dubbed the best golf course in the state for walking, among other honors, in a recent New Jersey Monthly article.
New Jersey Monthly ranked the state’s top golf courses by eight categories: most scenic, best practice facilities, most creative design, most female friendly, best conditioned (privately owned), best conditioned (publicly owned), best for walking and most challenging.
Hominy Hill, located in Colts Neck, was ranked third for best conditioned (publicly owned), first for best for walking and tied for second with Twisted Dune in Egg Harbor for most challenging.

According to the Monmouth County Parks website, Hominy Hill is considered the “crown jewel” of the park system. The golf course is often rated as New Jersey’s #1 public golf course, and was recently named by NJ.com and Inside Jersey as on of New Jersey’s 10 Best Golf Courses for the Money. Earlier this year, New Jersey Monthly magazine’s readers voted Hominy Hill the Best Public Golf Course in the state.
