MARLBORO, NJ — A baby boy born to a Marlboro Township family rang in the 2020s in Monmouth County.

Yes, this little boy had the distinction of being the first baby born in Monmouth County in the new year, and nearly within the first 15 minutes of the brand-new decade.

Baby boy Musarra was born at 12:16 a.m. on Jan. 1, 2020. He was born at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune to mother Adriana Fori and father Vincent Musarra, the hospital reported. The couple lives in Marlboro.

The baby came into this world weighing eight pounds, 11 ounces, measuring 20.5 inches long and is as-of-yet unnamed. The happy family is pictured above.

About half an hour later, a Sayreville woman delivered another little boy at 12:54 a.m. at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy. And in Ocean County, a Seaside Park woman delivered a little girl at 1:19 a.m. on New Year's Day, at Ocean Medical Center in Brick.
