Newsweek Ranks Marlboro High School #454 in the Nation
Colts Neck High School did not rank in the top 1,000.
Newsweek magazine announced this week that Marlboro High School ranks in the top 1,000 schools in the United States.
MHS came in at number 454, one of three schools in the Freehold Regional High School District to rank. Freehold High School came in top 700 and Freehold Township High School made the cut by 30.
According to the magazine, “This year, our ranking highlights the best 1,000 public high schools in the nation—the ones that have proven to be the most effective in turning out college-ready grads."

The list is based on six components provided by school administrators: graduation rate (25 percent), college matriculation rate (25 percent), AP/IB/AICE tests taken per student (25 percent), average SAT/ACT scores (10 percent), average AP/IB/AICE scores (10 percent), and AP courses offered per student (5 percent).
ranked with a 100 percent graduation rate, with 94 percent college bound. The average SAT score is 1686, and the average ACT score was 23.5.Â
