Part Of County Route 537 To Close For Reconstruction Sept. 14-22

Culvert reconstruction near Muhlenbrink Road will close part of CR 537 County Route 537, according to officials.

COLTS NECK, NJ – County Route 537 (CR 537) will be closed to traffic from the intersection of Route 34 to Laird Road, according to a county release.

The closure comes amid culvert reconstruction near Muhlenbrink Road, which is expected to take place Sept. 14 through Sept 22. The culvert allows water from Slope Brook to flow under the roadway, according to officials.

“Route 537 is [a] heavily traveled County road that needs to be maintained for the safety of motorists,” said Freeholder Director Thomas A. Arnone, liaison to the Department of Public Works and Engineering, in a statement.
