Police: Fugitive Threatened Victim With Gun, Arrested in Marlboro

Arato will be extradited out of state due to warrants under his name.

An alleged fugitive, who was hiding out in Old Bridge, was caught by Marlboro Police last week

Vincent Arato, 37, of Englishtown Road was arrested after allegedly threatening to kill someone while showing a handgun during what the record indicates was a "business transaction."

Police said Arato also allegedly tried to write a $7,300 bad check.

Arato has several theft charges, credit card fraud charges and a failure to appear in court warrant under his name in Maryland. In Florida, Arato is facing charges of theft and failure to appear in court.

Arato is being held in the Monmouth County Jail in lieu of $21,000 bail on charges of threatening to kill, the illegal possession of a weapon, writing a bad check, and being a fugitive from justice. Arato also has a pending charge of careless driving out of Howell.

Arato will be extradited out of state due to warrants under his name.
