Police: Stolen Beretta Found in New Brunswick Man's Car

Police executed a search warrant on Dawaad Swain and allegedly found a 9mm Beretta in his car.

A 23-year-old New Brunswick man was arrested in Marlboro last week after police allegedly found a stolen gun and drugs in his car, according to county records.

Police executed a search warrant on Dawaad Swain and allegedly found a 9mm Beretta, along with cocaine and marijuana allegedly packaged to sell. 

Police said Swain was allegedly found to be in possession of more than 50 grams of marijuana, packaged to sell as well as bags of what police believed to be cocaine.

Swain is charged with the unlawful possession of a firearm, knowingly receiving stolen property, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of more than 50 grams of marijuana and the intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance.

The New Brunswick man is being held in lieu of $103,000 bail in the Monmouth County Jail.
