Still in the Wake of Sandy, Hornik Asks Residents to Prepare
A letter to residents from Mayor Jon Hornik.

It is hard to believe that one year ago we were in the midst of preparing for an extreme weather event that would later be known as “Superstorm Sandy”.
Attached to this [article] is a copy of the letter and brochure recently mailed to your home entitled ‘One Year Anniversary of Superstorm Sandy’ and ‘Plan and Prepare’. The brochure contains important storm preparation information as well as website addresses and emergency phone numbers. I urge you to print this document and post it in a visible and immediately accessible location in your home.
You may recall receiving many email updates before, during and after the storm which can be viewed on our town website. Communication during these events is absolutely critical. Please take a moment now to register your emails, phones and sign up for the Township official Facebook page and Twitter feed so that we can contact you even when some methods of communication are disrupted.
Finally, as we head into the Holiday Season, we cannot forget that many of our neighbors are still struggling one year later. I ask that your thoughts and prayers remain with those who are still recovering from the storm.
-Mayor Jon Hornik
