Who Collects the Campaign Signs?

Marlboro Township ordinance doesn't dictate who will pick up the hundreds of campaign signs around town, but it does dictate how long they can stay.

The ordinance stats signs must be removed no more than seven days after the election. So don't fret, Marlboro, intersections will be restored soon.

Nominate a fabulous senior in Marlboro Township

The Senior Advisory Committee is looking for a special senior to present the 2013 Bernice Brownstein Award to.

Bernice Brownstein was an active Senior Advisory Committeevolunteer, and the award in her name recognizes seniors who volunteer in the same spirit.

Nominated residents must be at least 60-years-old, and have provided community service beyond what is expected. The nominee should also have impacted the lives of the people in the community through personal sacrifice. It isn't necessary for the nominated person to meet all of the above criteria. 

Applications can be found online and are due by Dec. 31 to the Marlboro Recreation Center.

Traffic Advisory Committee members announced

The appointees to the Traffic Advisory Committee are: Jeffrey Berman, Ken Block, Arnold Bogus, Theresa Despotidis, Ajay Doshi, Amy Francesco, Tom Golding, Kal Kessler, Kevin Kocun, Jules Levin, Jason Markowitz, Rahul Pawar, Irving Perlman, Shital Rajan, Steven eivich, Anthony Saggese, Robert Salman, Stuart Schlem and Michael Stern. 

“We received applications from a number of residents with stellar resumes,” Hornik said. He went on to say, “I am constantly reminded of how fortunate we are to have so many people willing to give their time and expertise to make Marlboro a better place to live and raise a family.”

The first meeting will be held at Town Hall on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at 7:30pm in Meeting Room 1.

Marlboro Recreation is hiring

Marlboro Recreation is hiring part-time facility supervisors for positions running from November through March.

The positions include evening and weekend hours for the basketball season. Applications must be 18-years-old or older.
