3 Mendham Baseball Players Help Morris Generals Win Bergen Tournament
Morris Generals 13U team bests 21 other teams to win Charity Classic.

The Morris Generals came, played, and conquered.
The 13U baseball team made up of players from the area took part in the Memorial Day Weekend Bergen County Charity Classic, a tournament with a whopping 22 teams from across northern New Jersey.
Each year the tournament raises more than $500,000, all of which is donated to local charities and used to fund youth scholarships.

The Generals went 2-1 over the first two games of the tournament, beating United Baseball Club and Teel Ravens America. The team earned a wild card spot in the playoffs by one run.
In the first round, the Generals took down the Fairfield Pirates 6-2, then faced the undefeated Apreda Titans, who had outscored their opponents 73-0 through four games.

The Generals marched through their opponent, winning 7-2 to take the National Division Championship.
The Generals then took on the Bergen Express, winners of the American Division Championship, and won 4-2 to bring home the tournament title.
