6 Minutemen March Into Wrestling's Region 1 Tournament

MENDHAM, N.J. – It was a busy day at Warren Hills Regional High School on Saturday, as District 1’s best grapplers fought for a shot at the regional wrestling tournament.

For Mendham, six of its grapplers rung the bell and advanced to the event, which will be held Saturday, Feb. 27 at Walkill Valley Regional High School.

Those wrestlers, their weight class and seeding, are:

• Dom DiGena, 10th seed, 103 pounds
• Peter Tringali, 10th seed, 113 pounds
• Thomas Masucci, 10th seed, 120 pounds
• Troy Navarino, 5th seed, 160 pounds
• Brent Bartzak, 12th seed, 180 pounds
• Donte Rossi, 12th seed, 220 pounds

The top three finishers in each weight class will move on to the state championships in Atlantic City the following weekend. There are a total of eight regions that will square off this weekend.
