Celebration Of Life For Former Mendham Resident On July 10
Friends can come to share their memories about Sean McCarten, who died on Feb. 28, 2020.
MENDHAM, NJ — Sean McCarten loved to travel with family, play golf, go fishing, restore antiques and spend time with his dog “Pumpkin.”
McCarten, who died at 65 in 2020 at his home in Discovery Bay, Calif., will be remembered for his interests and the memories his friends in the Mendham area had with him, at an upcoming Celebration of Life scheduled on Saturday, July 10, starting at 11 a.m.
The celebration will take place at Mendham’s Bailey Funeral Home on 8 Hilltop Road through 11:45 a.m., before winding down at the Hilltop Cemetery for a graveside remembrance.

Before McCarten headed off to California, where he worked for 37 years at Pacific Gas and Electric, he was born to John and Mary McCarten on July 6, 1954. He was a graduate of Far Brook School in Short Hills and was later a student at Mendham High School. After attending high school in Mendham, he was a graduate of the Cutler Academy in Vermont.
