Century Celebration Planned For Chester Fire Company In August

The event is scheduled on Saturday, Aug. 14, with food, drinks, fireworks and other fun.

CHESTER, NJ — Fans of the yearly Chester Fireman’s Carnival - a pre-pandemic event that’s been sidelined in 2021 because of the evolving COVID-19 restrictions - will still have something to celebrate this year.

Though the carnival won’t be on because of difficulties organizing the logistics with the pandemic changes, Chester Volunteer Fire Co. #1 has instead planned its 100th Anniversary Celebration for Saturday, Aug. 14, beginning at 6 p.m.

The benefit for the fire company at Chubb Park, with general admission at $5 per person, has lots of fun planned for the night with food, drinks, a beer tent, live music, firetruck rides and a 50/50 raffle to start.
