Chester First Aid Squad Member Passes At 72

CHESTER, NJ - Ronald E. Neil Sr., also known as Moe passed away May 31, according to the Leber Funeral Home obituary.

Neil was born October 31, 1948 in Fredrick, Md. and was the son of the late Wilbur C and Pauline Neil. He worked for the Borough of Chester Public Works Department for 25 years, retiring in 2005. He was a life member of the Chester First Aid Squad. He was an avid race fan and enjoyed the time with his sons at the track and working on their race car, hunting, and bowling. He was known for sharing stories of family, friends and living in Chester. He loved old cars, country music and old westerns.

He is survived by his brother Donald Neil and his wife Sandi of Tobyhanna, PA; his daughters Charlene Jacobus and her partner Roy Hathaway, Dawn Neil and her partner Ken Balhorn of Fairview, MI; his sons Ronald E Neil, Jr and his wife Dawn of Phillipsburg, NJ, Sean Neil and his wife Donna of Phillipsburg, NJ and Ryan Neil and his partner Erin McLaughlin of Long Valley, NJ. Nine grandchildren Adam Neil, Ivy Neil, Joshua Neil, Shanna Neil, Sally Dybas, Billy Jacobus, Brock Jacobus, Corey Jacobus, and Jessica Neil. Twelve great-grandchildren, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
