Chester Police Handle More Than 3,100 Calls In May
The Chester Police reported they responded to over 3,100 calls in May, 18 with the fire department and 53 with the first aid squad.
CHESTER, NJ — The Chester Police Department responded to well over 3,100 calls in May, the department recently reported.
Among them were 53 incidents they worked on with the first aid squad, plus 18 with the fire department.
There were four noteworthy cases the department highlighted in its report, the first involving DWI charges on May 21. The second was the following day in a separate driving while intoxicated incident on Route 206 and handled with the Mendham Borough Police Department. A third case on May 23 was another DWI charge, with the driver telling police they had smoked marijuana before driving, the department reported. The last was on May 30, with domestic violence charges.

Community assignments, traffic stops, checks on residences and businesses and other types of cases, were among the more than 3,000 other calls.
