Chester Resident Reaches Farm Final Four
Rebekah A. Alstede, competed in the final four meet of the National level collegiate discussion of the FUSION reimagined conference.

CHESTER, NJ - Continuing the family legacy, Rebekah A. Alstede of Alstede Farms, competed in the final four meet of the National level collegiate discussion of the American Farm Bureau’s FUSION reimagined conference.
The annual conference offers an opportunity for Farmers across the nation to connect over guest speakers, educational sessions, women’s leadership, and young farmers & rancher’s programs along with a highly competitive, national level collegiate discussion meet.
Alstede won a spot to participate at the national level by placing first in Pennsylvania Farm Bureau’s Collegiate Discussion last fall out of 24 competing and was the only one representing the North East region.
"I loved being able to share my knowledge and experiences with so many other young farmers throughout the country," Alstede said.
The competition is crafted to help young students of agriculture formulate communication skills, learn to work together to solve problems and understand important issues facing agriculture. Alstede said she is proud to follow in her father’s footsteps as he was also a discussion meet contestant and she grew up watching the competition at annual Farm Bureau conventions she attended with her family since she was born.
