Daylight Savings Time: Spring Ahead, And Check These Two Things
These two simple things can help keep your family safe year round.

MENDHAM, NJ— After a relatively snow-free and warm winter, it's time to "spring ahead" with daylight savings time. It might be common knowledge you have to set your clocks forward one hour, but do you remember to check your batteries?
Police, fire, and town officials across Morris County are reminding residents to check the batteries in their smoke and carbon monoxide detectors when they change their clocks. You should also check that they're still in good working order.
Another item you should add to your Daylight Savings Time checklist? Making sure no parts on your car have been recalled. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration recommends running your VIN through their look-up tool to ensure no parts on your car need replacing.
