Dinosaurs Coming To NJ Libraries To Sing, Dance With Children

CHATHAM, NJ — Looking for a fun way to reinforce a love of reading in your young student? What about having a dinosaur tell them that reading is fun?

Dinosaurs from The Filed Station's Dinosaur Troubadour will be visiting 18 libraries across New Jersey during June 2018, including several in North Jersey, to encourage summer reading. Children will be able to sing and dance to original songs about dinosaurs, and meet a "real" 15 foot tall Tyrannosaurus rex.

“It was during my summers right here in New Jersey that books from my local library helped me develop a love of dinosaurs that has stayed with me my entire life,” said Guy Gsell, Executive Producer of Field Station: Dinosaurs. “Being part of the annual summer reading program is always an important and fun way for us to connect with many different communities, and our library tour will hopefully inspire children to seek out their own favorite books at their local libraries all summer long.”

This is the seventh year Field Station: Dinosaurs have supported the New Jersey summer reading program. The theme for this year is "Libraries Rock!"
