Dover Chester Road Paving Set To Begin
Some residents will see access to their homes disrupted during the paving process.

CHESTER, NJ — Paving on North Road / Dover Chester Road will begin on Monday, July 8, and will cause traffic jams for residents in the area.
Work will take place between 6:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. as weather permits. It should take two weeks, but could take longer if weather forces delays.
Traffic will only be allowed in one direction, and the opposite direction will be detoured. Residents should keep an eye out for signage about the detours.

Access to businesses and homes will be affected if equipment is rolling in front of driveways. Residents should allow for extra time, and warn deliveries about possible blockages.
The North Road / Dover Chester Road work will span 4.4 miles from 182 North Road to Sussex Turnpike in Chester Township and Randolph.

The bid price for the work is $1.526 million. The work will be completed by Tilcon NY.
"It is vital our residents and business community to maintain the high quality of county road in Morris County," said Freeholder Stephen Shaw. "We are working closely with the affected towns and their police to handle traffic flow and potential detours, and ask residents who are inconvenienced to be patient as we get this work done for you."
