Downed Power Lines Close Mendham Road
Breaking: No cars are being let through, police say.
MENDHAM, NJ — Downed trees and power lines have closed a Mendham Township road late Monday morning, police said.
Calais Road is closed at the intersection of Combs Hollow Road, police said. Because of the downed wires, the road is impassible and no one will be let through. Drivers should take an alternate route.
The impact to local power is minimal: there are only five homes in the area without power.
