Free Ice, Water Available To Morris, Warren Residents Without Power

JCP&L says estimated time of restoration is 11:30 p.m. Friday.

After a devastating thunderstorm that wreaked havoc and knocked out power to thousands in Morris County Thursday afternoon, Jersey Central Power & Light, while trying to restore electricity, is providing free ice and water to residents until their home are back online.

Some 4,000 customers in Morris County are still without power Friday afternoon, and JCP&L has ramped up efforts to restore power with extra crews coming in from around the state. While the estimated time of restoration is 11:30 p.m. Friday, it’s not a definite, and the utility company is making water and ice available to customers in Morris and Warren Counties.

  • Shop Rite of Rockaway – 437 Route 46, Rockaway Township
  • Shop Rite of Wharton – 314 Route 15, Wharton Borough
  • Weiss Markets – 293 Highway 206, Mount Olive Township
