Grab Some Cool Treats At Mendham Creamery

MENDHAM, NJ — With the holiday weekend ahead and summer overall an ideal time to refresh with some creamy goodness, Mendham Creamery at 2A Hilltop Road has some ice cream choices for the Independence Day weekend and beyond.

Each person in the United States eats about 23 gallons of ice cream on an average each year, which was among the reasons why the International Dairy Foods Association says July was set by Presidential Proclamation in 1984 as National Ice Cream Month, with the third Sunday in July celebrated as National Ice Cream Day.

The Mendham Creamery offers a variety of hard and soft ice cream types, which can be scooped into cones, dished into bowls, blended into milkshakes and served up into sundaes. They have the usual favorites, along with some unexpected surprises with their latest offerings, like “Oatmeal Cookie Craving” (with caramel, chocolate flakes and oatmeal cookie crumbles), “Llamalicious” (with yellow and green cake batter, sugar cookie chips and pink frosting) and “Lil Blue Panda” (with blue and white cookie-flavored ice cream, blue cookie dough and cream cookies). They additionally spotlight “Seasonal Sundaes” which they describe as “imaginative combinations of ice cream and toppings.”

Homemade ice cream sandwiches, cakes and DIY sundae kits are among their other selections.

Mendham Creamery is open Monday through Friday from 3 to 9 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from noon until 9 p.m.
