CHESTER, NJ — Local officials are looking to minimize the amount of tricks this year, by enforcing a curfew in Chester and Mendham Townships (neither boroughs have a curfew). Here's what you need to know about the local rules to avoid any Halloween rule breaking.

Chester Township

A curfew will be in effect in the township from Oct. 28 to Nov. 1. Juveniles cannot be out in public between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m., unless accompanied by a parent or guardian, going to or from work, school, religious activities, "or other cultural, education or social events." Medical emergencies are also excluded.
