Here's What Mendham, Chester Paid School Administrators
There is a new list that shows the median principal and administrator salary. This is what Mendham, Chester taxpayers are paying.
NEW JERSEY — If you're a principal, superintendent or administrator for one of New Jersey's more than 500 school districts, you can make as much as $176,367 or as little as $1.
After delays caused by the COVID crisis, the state has released new information that shows how much your school district budgeted to pay principals, superintendents and administrators in 2020-21.
The West Morris Regional School District pays an average salary of $144,156 for those positions, which is a -2.50 percent decrease from last year.

The Mendham Township School District averages $142,575 for those positions which is a two percent increase over last year. Mendham Borough averages $133,651 for those positions which would be a .62 percent increase.
Over in Chester, the consolidated school district pays an average of $143,981 for those positions which is the same figure they paid last year.

The information is part of the state Department of Education's Taxpayer's Guide to Education Spending, which shows the median salary in every New Jersey school district.
In addition to median salaries, the state's site also shows each district's total spending, average daily enrollment and students from sending districts, the per-pupil costs and the district's total budget spending for 2020.
