Jim Baglin To be Inducted Into NJSIAA

The legendary Mendham basketball coach will be inducted into the NJSIAA Hall Of Fame later this year.

MENDHAM, NJ — Legendary Mendham basketball coach Jim Baglin will be inducted into the NJSIAA/Bollinger Hall of Fame this December.

Baglin served as Mendham High School's basketball coach for 33 years before retiring in 2012, and continued to serve as athletic director for several more years. He coached the team through 700 games and two state championships with a 685-193 record, one of the most winningest records in state history.

He retired to Florida, and now coaches at a high school down there. He told the Daily Record he receives frequent updates on the Mendham team, calling it part of who he is.

Other inductees this year are Dr. Sam Crosby from Bridgewater-Raritan School District, Royce Flippin, Jr. from Montclair High School, Scott Goodale from Jackson Memorial High School, James Rochford from Brick Township High School, and the 1988-1999 St. Anthony boy's basketball team.

The induction ceremony will be held in Hamilton on Dec. 4.
