Kids, Teens Summer Reading And ‘Crazy 8s’ Starts Soon In Chester
Registration is happening now for the summer reading and math programs at the Chester Library.
CHESTER, NJ — Kids from preschool through fifth grades can join in for some reading and math fun over the summer in Chester, with teens able to do the same, beginning Monday.
Parents must register their kids for the program to get a Summer Reading Kit, with a free book, supplies and activity log. Parents need to pick a Pre-K to first grade, or second to fifth grade kit. Parents will receive more instructions for pick-up of their reading kits on or around June 28. The library plans to award small prizes to its young readers in this program throughout the summer.
The teen reading program also starts on Monday, with teens invited to the library’s teen room at its 250 West Main Street location, to enter to win prizes and gift cards to Starbucks, NY Pizza and Restaurant and Chester Bagel & Deli. They can also enter to win a basket of books and snacks. For every book a teen reads, they can get a ticket to be in the running for any of these prizes.
