CHESTER, NJ — Much like last year, it looks like winter waited until the last minute before packing a punch in Chester, with an early March snow storm dumping a significant amount of snow on the town.
According to a National Weather Service public spotter, Chester got 8.5 inches of snow by 2 a.m. on Monday. Snow totals for Mendham were not reported as of 9:37 a.m.
And the March snow isn't over yet. There's a 30 percent chance of more snow on Friday night, following a chilly first week of March.
