Volunteerism is in short supply and the squad needs EMTs, EMRs and drivers like Ken Lordy. Do you have what it takes?

MENDHAM, NJ - With volunteerism in short supply, Mendham First Aid Squad Jon Alperin took to social media to appeal for recruits and praise one of their newest members.

"Please say hi to one of our newest Mendham First Aid Squad volunteers," Alperin posted to Facebook. "And please consider joining us yourself (spiffy jacket included.)"

The Mendham First Aid Squad account noted that Lordy is one of the newest members, and he was "killing it."

"Not only did he complete the membership process in record time, including CPR and CEVO (Coaching for the Emergency Vehicle Operator) training, he’s been an active responder and learning on the job tonight with two patient runs to the hospital," the post noted. "And he’s set to start training as an EMR in just two more weeks."

Those interested in joining can get more information on the squad's website.
