Mendham’s Memorial Day Remembers Fallen Military, COVID Victims

A tree will be dedicated to those who died from the coronavirus.

MENDHAM, NJ — Mendham Borough’s Memorial Day ceremony will honor the sacrifices of members of the military who gave their lives, with a tree dedication following for those who died during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mayor Christine Serrano-Glassner, along with Mendham Borough’s Memorial Day Committee Chair and Council President John W. Andrews announced the events on Monday that will take place during the ceremony on Monday, May 31 at 10 a.m., with local veterans, scouts and first responders a part of leading the ceremony with elected officials.

The event, which is open to the public, will be at the Borough Park’s War Memorial on the corner of Mountain and Park Avenues.

After the ceremony, the tree will be dedicated to recognize individuals, including borough residents, who died from COVID-19.
