Morris Co. Teen Indicted In Grandfather's Murder: Prosecutor

Justin A. Love, 19, is accused of killing his 86-year-old grandfather in nearby Hunterdon County.

RANDOLPH, NJ — A Randolph teenager has been indicted on murder charges, nearly five months after he was accused of killing his grandfather, Acting Hunterdon County Prosecutor Michael Williams said.

Justin A. Love, 19, was indicted by a grand jury in Hunterdon County on murder, aggravated assault, aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, and resisting arrest stemming from the June 3 incident, Williams said.

Love is accused of attacking his grandfather, Roger R. Love, 86, in Bethlehem Township. Police were called as the younger Love was attacking his grandfather, Williams said. After a brief struggle with police, Justin Love was arrested.

Roger Love died while being taken to Hunterdon Medical Center as a result of the assault, Williams said.

It's still not clear what caused the alleged murder. Officials have not released any additional information about the alleged crime.
