Morris County Man's Ashes Stolen By Package Thief
Morris County CrimeStoppers is offering $1,000 for help solving the crime.

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ – The remains of a Mt. Olive resident's father was stolen by a package thief on Feb. 26, and authorities are offering a reward to help solve the crime.
Morris County CrimeStoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information into the theft of a package containing an urn from a doorstep at the Village Green Apartment Complex in Budd Lake.
According to officials, shortly before 1 p.m., the victim received notification from Fed-Ex that the package had been delivered and by the time they returned home at 2 p.m. it was stolen from the doorstep of the victim’s apartment.

Authorities say the urn contained ashes of the victim’s father. The urn has a motorcycle on the top and the victim’s fathers name inscribed on it, police said.
Anyone with information is asked to contact The Morris County Sheriff’s CrimeStoppers at copcall.org, 973-COP-CALL or use the free “P3 Tips” app on any mobile device. No one will ask your name, and you could receive a reward up to $1,000.
