New Chef, Vegan Dishes Coming To Black Horse Tavern In Mendham
The new vegan options will be available starting Friday, May 17

MENDHAM, NJ — The Black Horse Tavern in Mendham is getting a new chef, and with him, several new vegan options.
Daniel Zapulla will serve as the resturaunts new Executive Chef. Before coming to Black Horse Tavern, Zapulla worked at The Office Tavern Grill, Piattino: A Neighborhood Bistro, The Olde Mill Inn and The Canford Hotel. He graduated from Johnson & Wales University.
In addition to Black Horse Tavern favorites, Zapulla will add vegan options to the menu. The following options will be available starting on Friday, May 17:

- Truffled Cauliflower served with silken butternut squash, pine nuts and sage
- Grilled Asparagus with a vegan lemon aioli, marinated tomatoes, basil and olive oil
- Rigatoni Caponata served with eggplant caponata, pine nuts and basil
- Impossible Bowl, made with faro, avocado, asparagus, carrots, Impossible Ragu and topped with spicy thai dressing
Black Horse Tavern is located at 1 W. Main Street in Mendham, and is one of New Jersey's oldest restaurants.
