New Traffic Pattern On Route 80, Delays On 280, 287 Tuesday

NORTH JERSEY, NJ - Good morning and welcome to today's Rush Hour Road Report. We will be listing all of the major, moderate and minor issues being reported on the roads in advance of rush hour so you can leave the house informed.

Editor's note: we will be focusing on major highways, but it is important to remember snarled traffic on main roads can cause spillover to secondary roads and side streets.

Here is what has been reported so far by 511NJ.org:

  • Route 80 will have a new traffic pattern due to construction in both directions through Saturday. Officials note that the changes are centered around exit 30, the Howard Boulevard Exit in Roxbury.
  • Route 80 has delays going east between exit 27 and exit 34.
  • Route 80 is also seeing delays between exit 61 and exit 58.
  • Route 80 east is showing delays by exit 34 Route 280 is also seeing delays between between exit 16E and 14W.
  • Route 24 west is seeing delays by exit 8.
  • There are volume delays on 287 south between exit 14 and exit 12.
  • Delays continue on 287 south between exit 52 in Montville and exit 43 in Parsippany.
  • Route 280 is showing slow traffic heading east near exit 12.
  • There are delays heading into George Washington Bridge in Fort Lee heading into the upper level toll plaza.
