New Walmart Supercenter Opens In Morris County

LEDGEWOOD, NJ - It took a few months and a lot of heavy construction equipment but the new Walmart Supercenter is now open for business in Ledgewood as of Wednesday.

“Through the incorporation of the latest technology and everyday low prices, this Supercenter will expand our ability to serve Ledgewood customers, while providing jobs to more than 400 New Jersey residents,” said Store 3912 Manager Anthony Moreno. “It’s a pleasure to see a project of this scale come to fruition during these tough times.”

The entirely new Walmart Supercenter within The Shops at Ledgewood Commons, located at 461 Rt 10, following completion of a massive construction project.

“The opening of the Walmart Supercenter at The Shops at Ledgewood Commons is a welcome economic boost for our community,” said Roxbury Township Mayor Robert DeFilippo. “We look forward to having Walmart back as one of our many contributing corporate citizens.”

With a newly constructed 170,000 square foot floor plan on the same location of a previous Walmart store, the new Ledgewood Supercenter offers:

Produce, Meat and Groceries

  • Full grocery department featuring a large selection of fresh organics, crisp greens, the finest cuts of USDA choice meats and deli offerings. The in-store bakery offers freshly baked bread, personalized cakes, single-serve items and more.

Online Grocery Pickup and Express Delivery

  • Busy customers love Walmart’s pickup option. It gives them the convenience of online shopping and the ease of quickly picking up groceries without leaving their cars. The best part: Pick up is at no additional cost, and customers now have the option to have their deliveries made in under two hours. (Note: Customers shopping using SNAP also have the option to use pickup services in most states.)

Walmart+

  • Walmart launched its Walmart+ delivery service on Sept. 15. The program is designed to save customers time and money with free unlimited deliveries at the same prices they pay in stores. Walmart+ costs $98 a year ($12.95/month) and includes a 15-day free trial period (Available for sign-up at walmart.com).
  • Customers memberships include an unlimited number of free deliveries, member prices for gas and use of the scan and go app, allowing the scan of products while shopping for quicker checkout. Items available for free delivery include grocery items, electronics, toys and household goods.

Pharmacists Curbside Pick-up

  • Customers can pick up their prescriptions safely and efficiently without needing to unbuckle their seatbelts. At no additional cost, these services are just another way to help customers save money and live better. Ledgewood residents can easily transfer prescriptions and order refills on the go, with the Walmart mobile app.

Walmart Pay – A touch-free way to pay

  • Omni-shopping experience – With a sleek design and a layout spotlighting products, the experience features end-to-end digital navigation to guide customers on the shopping journey.

Other New Expansions

  • Electronics of the Future, with interactive customer displays and expansion of Apple and Google products.

To support employment efforts for positions including department managers, support managers, food associates, and receiving/stocking associates, Walmart opened a hiring center located at 450 Rt 10 in Ledgewood and has already hired 275 new employees and plans to hire an additional 150.
