Paving Will Detour Rt. 24 In Mendham, Chester
Drivers should plan for delays and traffic during the paving project.
MENDHAM, NJ — A paving project along Route 24 will cause detours and delays in Mendham and Chester this week and next, Mendham Township police said.
Route 24 between Ironia Road and Old Mill Road in Chester is set for repaving, starting this Wednesday, Sept. 11. Work will continue on Thursday and Friday, and continue next Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 16 and 17. Work is expected to start at 8 a.m. and go until 5 p.m.
All dates are weather permitting.

Drivers should expect detours and traffic, but drivers will be allowed through as allowable, police said.
"We thank you in advance for your patience as there is no easy way to do this much needed project!" Mendham Township police said.
