Postponed: Mendham Fireworks Rescheduled For July 5
The township's fireworks are rescheduled because of the soggy forecast, but Brookside Parade is still planned for Saturday morning.
MENDHAM, NJ - The Mendham Township fireworks event has been postponed until Monday, because of Friday night’s possible rainy forecast.
Mendham Township and its police department announced on Friday that the showtime for the fireworks on July 5 is the same as originally scheduled, with gates opening at 6:30 p.m. on Mosle Field.

The township planned pre-fireworks festivities with food trucks, music, kids’ arts and crafts, giveaways and other fun at the event.
When the show does kick off, spectators can bring lawn chairs and blankets to sit and watch from the football field.

“The Grandest Little Parade” with a “Roaring 20s” theme is still on as of Friday afternoon, police say, with breakfast before the parade at 8 a.m. Saturday at the Brookside Community Club, the parade at 9, a picnic at 11 a.m., activities and then swimming at Brookside Beach at 1:30 p.m.
