Road Work Continues In Mendham

Milling and paving should begin on some streets on Monday, June 28, with work expected to last through Wednesday, June 30.

MENDHAM, NJ — There are upgrades happening in Mendham Borough this summer because of utility work and paving projects, with the latest round expected to start on Monday.

Depending on the weather on June 28, milling and paving has tentatively been planned and is expected to run through Wednesday, June 30 on several streets.

The following streets on those days should be milled and paved, starting at 7 a.m. each day, with crews showing up in the locations earlier to:

  • Linden Lane
  • Cosma Place
  • Aster Terrace
  • Highfield Circle
  • Garabrant Street
  • Forest Drive
  • Wedgewood Lane
  • Birch Street

People are asked not to park on these streets as they are being worked on; and to be ready for possible short delays, with traffic shut down to one lane as each road is milled and paved.

The Mendham Borough Police Department provides frequent road construction updates on its Facebook Page, with Mendham Township Police doing the same.

Mendham Borough Mayor Christine Serrano-Glassner reminded residents and visitors to the borough in a message on Tuesday that though the utility work and other projects throughout the borough have brought road blocks and detours, local businesses on East Main Street particularly are open, with parking on Main Street available.

Mendham Borough Police Chief John Camoia announced in May that a water main replacement project beginning in June around East Main Street was expected to last 12 weeks.
