Send North Road Pothole Complaints To County, Chester Says

Township officials are aware of the issue, but say they can't fix it.

CHESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — Chester Township officials are aware of the potholes and road condition issues on North Road, but say complaints need to be directed to county officials.

North Road is owned by the county, they said, and its the county's responsibility to fix it. The road has been patched by the county department of public works, and is scheduled for paving later this year.

"Because this is a County road, all issues and or complaints should be directed the the Morris County DPW at 973-285-6761, and not Chester Township as we do not have jurisdiction over this roadway for maintenance and repairs," officials said.
