MENDHAM, NJ — Several roads are still closed in Mendham Thursday afternoon, after a strong storm Wednesday night that toppled trees and downed power lines was followed by a gusty Thursday.

The following roads are closed as of 3:55 p.m. in Mendham, according to police:

  • Corey Ln is closed near Browning Ct due to a tree down with wires
  • Ironia Rd between Rt 24 and the Roxiticus Extension is closed to thru traffic for a tree down with wires.
  • Power outage at the Elementary School and West Main St area.

"Just a reminder to stay clear of any and all downed wires, you never know if they are live!" police warned residents.

There are less than 50 homes across the Mendhams and Chesters with current outages, JCP&L says.
