Severe Thunderstorms Expected Monday Afternoon, Hail Possible
The storm will produce frequent lightning and could produce up to a half-inch of rain, according to the National Weather Service.
MENDHAM TOWNSHIP, NJ – The National Weather Service is warning local residents that severe thunderstorms will enter the area Monday afternoon and could possibly produce gusty and damaging winds and hail.
The storms are likely to remain in the area until 7 p.m. and will also produce heavy rain and frequent lightning. The National Weather Service said that temperatures will reach 91 degrees and that the storm may produce between a tenth and a quarter inch of rain before the storms depart after 7 p.m.
The best chance of storms is expected to be generally north of I-76.
