CHESTER, NJ — Organizers for Saturday’s Taco Palooza on Chester’s Municipal Field are looking for attendees ready to come hungry and thirsty, having adopted the mantra, “The only bad taco is the one you didn’t eat.”

A fundraiser for the Historic Business Association and I love Chester NJ, as well as a food drive for the local food pantry, with guests asked to bring non-perishable canned and boxed foods to the Just Jersey-hosted event, runs from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., on 134 Main Street.

Entrance costs for Taco Palooza are $5 per person and free for children under 5.

Food trucks plan to roll in for the day not only with tacos but other festive fare. Attendees can drink down their tacos and treats in the beer, sangria and margarita garden. There will also be live musical performances, vendors and activities for the kids. Guests are welcome to bring their blankets, lawn chairs and pop-up tents, as well as their dogs on leashes, with water stations provided for their canine companions.

Among the taco vendors expected are: Señor Tacos, Chef J’s Latin Fusion, Carlitos, Tacoholics, Revolution Tacos and La Coqueta Mexican Cocina.
